The AODA is here to stay; deadlines passed for reporting compliance Dec 2014. New Deadlines now start.

AODA 2014-2015 upcoming deadlines…and things to work on in 2015 for 2016 | First Reference Talks.

In case the message is not getting out about the AODA by Optimal Performance’s AODA team, have a read of this First Reference Blog for further information – the AODA’s IASR and Ontario Build Code are in full swing now with new obligations commencing January 2015 for reporting on a mandatory basis the end of this year.

Workplace inspections and penalties have been levied and this activity will increase this year. There is real potential to your business’s brand by not being accessible to people with disabilities (PwD) and aging employees, visitors, customers. There is also a large ROI for businesses who are early adopters of the AODA (remember 17-20% of the population in Ontario have at least one disability and also have money to spend in the economy).
